The new 2,000 sq ft space has become the business’ second workshop, in addition to its existing premises at Teeside Industrial Estate in Stockton-on-Tees. AWR Wheels have customised and equipped the unit so that their team of technicians can offer refurbishment, repair and repaint services to customers across Darlington and the surrounding area.

Evolution Park will help AWR Wheels reach more customers

Director Gary Carter said: “We’ve built a reputation for offering the highest standards of quality and service in alloy wheel refurbishment over the last 20 years and felt that now was the right time to invest in expansion and take on a second unit so that we can serve more customers over a wider area.

“We chose Evolution Park because the site is accessible and easy for our customers to find with good connections to the local road network for customers.

“We’ve also been able to set the clean, newly-built unit up from scratch, just how we want it to that we can work on the wheels of all types of luxury, sports or prestige cars.”

AWR Wheels’ comprehensive alloy wheel refurbishment service involves removing a wheel from the vehicle and stripping it back to the bare metal. It is then inspected, all old paintwork, grime and dirt is blasted away and all necessary structural repairs made. The kerbed surfaces are then prepared and re-painted before the wheel is re-fitted and balanced. The team also offer cosmetic surface repairs and colour changes.

AWR Wheels is a perfect example of a business seizing the initiative and investing in more space to drive forward growth.”
