Hull retail development all set to serve community
A community retail park developed by Priority Space is now fully occupied with wide range of businesses serving people living in the surrounding area.
The Monks Way retail park was built as a central feature to the Kingswood development of 1,700 new homes being delivered by the Hull Citywide Developer Partnership (HCDP).
It is now home to a One Stop convenience store, Cooplands bakery, a veterinary practice, pharmacy, dental practice, pet store and dog grooming parlour, Chinese restaurant and two takeaways.
Director of Priority Space Adam Richardson said: “We’re delighted to see Monks Way fully occupied with shops and businesses providing a range of services for people moving into the newly-developed Kingswood area.
“It’s been a privilege to be involved in the Hull Citywide Developer Partnership and add this community-focused retail park with free parking to the heart of such a large residential development which aims to provide good quality homes to people in Hull.
“At Priority Space, we are committed to developing commercial properties which help local enterprises and meet the needs of local communities. We wish all the best to everyone who has based their business at Monks Way.”
One established tenant, Paul Nightingale of the Pet Van Store, previously said: “Monks Way looks smart and is a great place to be based. We love serving the people of Kingswood and Bransholme and we’re part of an excellent little selection of community shops and services for convenience here.”
The shop, business and restaurant units feature electrically operated roller security shutters, fire alarm / smoke detector, rear goods vehicle access for loading, a secure gated delivery yard with five dedicated parking spaces and high ceilings maximising storage volume.
Outside, 81 parking spaces are complemented with landscaping security features, attractive street lighting and CCTV coverage.
